Past Grant Recipients

• Coalescent Adolescent – Linden New Art

  This project brings together teens who have experienced marginalization in their community, addressing issues of social isolation and inclusion. The participants directly engage with contemporary artists to learn skills, try out different art techniques and create something each session of which they can feel proud of. The experiential art group runs for 2 hours per week over 8-week blocks.

• Friday Night Activities – PCYC

  The newly launched Friday Night Activity program at St Kilda's PCYC is hosted every Friday evening between 5pm and 7pm for youth aged 10 to 18. This free of charge program aims to engage at-risk and disadvantaged youth through entertaining activities, active recreation, and positive youth workers.

• Girls Group – PCYC

  Girls group is a free of charge program delivered by St Kilda PCYC, providing girls aged 10 to 17 with a safe space for building confidence and healthy social connections. Hosted every Monday from 4:30pm to 6pm.

• Outdoor Connections - Port Phillip Eco Centre

  Outdoor Connections is developed by the Port Phillip Eco Centre to address many of the commitments within the City of Port Phillip’s Health and Wellbeing Implementation Strategy. The program aims to boost the mental and physical wellbeing of young people by offering free outdoor experiential activities.

• Team Sports For All (TS4A)

  TS4A assists families who are experiencing financial hardship; due to their situation they cannot afford to pay for the costs involved in community team sport for their children. TS4A consults with families, connects them with a local club and team, pays for the fees, equipment, and shoes, and most importantly, gives ongoing support via our volunteer sports mentors, to encourage long term participation.

• One Ball

  One Ball is a soccer and wellbeing program aimed at building young people's capacity to be resilient, protect against, manage and overcome problems, improve relationships and enhance health and well-being through buffering against the negative effects of stress.

• Intergenerational Duets - Embraced Inc.

  Intergenerational Duets is an 8 week program created by Embraced Inc. aimed at shifting the way we view ageing. The program connects teenagers aged 13-17yrs with seniors, 65 years and over who play a musical instrument. Teenagers will drive this project, learning how to actively communicate by navigating conversations, deciphering comfort levels to collect critical information.
