    Before and during an emergency, primary support will be provided by a range of key emergency service providers.

    Victoria Police

    Help to keep the peace and coordinate all other emergency services. If your emergency is life threatening, call Triple Zero (000) immediately.

    Provides preparation, warning and recovery information that can be filtered by location via the website and app. Contact their hotline on 1800 226 226.

    Listen to local radio for warnings or frequency AM: 774 kHz; DAB+: 9C Melbourne. Standard Emergency Warning Signals (SEWS) may also air on radio and TV before an urgent broadcast.

    In the event of a large-scale emergency, Council may decide to open an Emergency Relief Centre.
