Future South Melbourne (draft South Melbourne Structure Plan)
The draft South Melbourne Structure Plan outlines a vision for the next 20 years, focusing on:
- maintaining the area's character with development guidelines for locations and heights of new buildings.
- enhancing transportation with bike lanes, improved public transit, and infrastructure upgrades.
- expanding green spaces for a more sustainable and enjoyable environment.
- stimulating economic growth by creating job opportunities.

Port Phillip Housing Strategy
After two rounds of community engagement to understand the housing issues and opportunities in the City of Port Phillip, we have now prepared a draft Housing Strategy for the City. Give your feedback on this draft Strategy to help us best plan for our residents’ current and future housing needs.

Fair Access in Sport Policy and Action Plan
We are seeking club and community feedback on our draft Fair Access in Sport Policy and Action Plan to support women and girls in sport. Between 9 February and 24 March 2024, we are seeking club and community feedback.

Council Plan and Budget (Year 4)
The draft Council Plan & Budget (Year 4) document will be open for community feedback from 18 April until 13 May 2024, pending a Council Meeting on 17 April 2024 to endorse the draft for community consultation.

Cowderoy Street No Right Turn ban
After trialling a no right turn from Canterbury Road to Cowderoy Street during peak hour, Council have decided not to implement the restriction permanently. Read the engagement and Council reports to learn more.
Supporting Positive Ageing in Port Phillip
Council has made the difficult decision to exit from providing several in-home services for older residents. Learn more here.
Eco Centre lease agreement
Council has decided to grant a lease over the Port Phillip EcoCentre site to the Port Phillip EcoCentre Incorporated for a 15 year period. Read the engagement and Council reports here.
Supporting Economic and Employment Growth in our City
The finalised Spatial Economic and Employment Framework (SEEF) was adopted at a Council Meeting in March 2024. You can now read a copy of the framework here.
