Live music is the heartbeat of the City of Port Phillip. Our heart was broken when our beloved local venues and festivals fell quiet as the COVID-19 pandemic changed how we gather and celebrate.

As part of the Live Music Action Plan, Port Phillip Council has launched a series of initiatives to help the local music industry recover and continue to bring the joy of live music into our communities.

The Live Music Support Scheme is an this initiative where Council will provide a financial contribution towards artist fees to encourage local venues, promoters, and event managers to plan live music events and engage local performers.
