Clarendon Children’s Centre is a 40 place, community-owned not-for-profit long day care providing early education and care for children aged 0-5 years. We are proud to have been rated as Exceeding the National Quality Standards in all seven Quality Areas since the NQS was first introduced in 2012 (including three Excellent ratings during that period).
At Clarendon Children’s Centre:
We believe children’s early experiences have long term implications for their learning and development. We are committed to providing the highest quality education and care in an inclusive, welcoming and vibrant setting, centred on children’s best interests and rights.
We promote children’s learning and development through respectful, equitable and meaningful relationships in a highly responsive, inclusive and innovative learning community. We value family/educator partnerships and shared decision making. Our work is grounded in Australia’s early years learning frameworks and national quality standards. It is informed by our collective ideas and understandings about early childhood theories and research.
Our educator team is empowered to excel through a lively culture of inquiry and critical reflection, and in a workplace environment where educators’ qualifications, experience and expertise are properly recognised and appreciated.
