Matt Ling
About the artist
Ling is a Melbourne based artist, founding member of The Safehouse Studio, currently working from the renowned Everfresh Studio. He has been painting publicly since 2000.
Known for producing large-scale installations, Ling combines the aesthetics of graffiti with an impressionistic approach to painting. Using heavy brush strokes, textures and a deft touch with aerosols, resulting in bold designs with the consideration of studio work and an immediacy synonymous with graffiti.
Over the years Ling has produced multiple installations within the City of Port Phillip whilst also curating / leading a number of additional creative projects.
