Louise Skacej

About the artist

After gaining her degree at Melbourne University, Louise was mentored by the sculptor Peter Corlett, working as his studio assistant whilst continuing to develop her own body of work. From 1988 she lectured and co-ordinated the Architectural Ceramics Department at Monash University and received an ISS Fellowship in 1992. In 1997 she met Dean Colls and together they founded Aludean Sculpture. Since then, they've produced a large body of private and public art including several works within The City of Port Phillip.

I have previously lived in the City Of Port Phillip for several years, have also collaborated with Dean Colls to produce 4 Public Artworks for COPP and am currently working on a fifth.
