In 1987 Dean was invited to join The Fantasy Workshop - Ron and Richard Mueck's Melbourne sculpture studios. After 2 years there he joined Artworks in Bronze Foundry in St Kilda followed by 2 years at Channel 10, working as their lead sculptor on various shows. For the next 4 years he was a freelance designer/sculptor working in film and television to support his own personal projects. In 1997 he joined forces with Louise Skacej to produce public artworks under the name of Aludean Sculpture.
We have produced a number of major public artworks in the City of Port Phillip over the last 10 years.
