Vote for the Pets of Port Phillip award nomination!

The Pets of Port Phillip desexing clinic was implemented to provide pet desexing services for dogs and cats belonging to residents experiencing vulnerability or disadvantage.
The program ran from November 2021 to September 2023, and over this time 266 dogs and cats were desexed. In addition to desexing, pets received microchips, vaccinations and a health check as required.
The Pets of Port Phillip program has had a profound impact on the community by ensuring that vulnerable and disadvantaged residents can provide their pets with essential health services. By offering free desexing, microchipping, vaccinations, and health checks, the program has helped reduce the number of stray animals, prevent unwanted litters, and promote responsible pet ownership.
This initiative has not only improved the well-being of pets but also strengthened the bond between pet owners and their animals, fostering a sense of community and support among residents.
Voting closes on Monday 28 April 2025.
