Port Phillip ANZAC Services 2024

ANZAC Day (25 April) is a national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand when both nations commemorate those who have served in wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations.

Port Phillip residents are invited to attend the following services:

Rats of Tobruk Commemoration Service

Location: Moubray Street Pocket Park, Albert Park

Date: Sunday 7 April 2024

Time: 2 – 2.40 pm

St Kilda Army & Navy Club RSL Sub-Branch Anzac Commemoration Service

Location: Alfred Square – Service St Kilda RSL – Marching departure / return point

Date: Sunday 21 April 2024

Time: 11.15 am – 12.30 pm

Road closures: Rolling road closures as participants march from St Kilda RSL to Alfred Square. Brief service and wreath laying ceremony. Return march will take place using the same route.

Power House Rugby Union Club and Lord Somers Camp Anzac Day Commemoration Service

Location: 34 Lakeside Drive, Albert Park (Lord Somers building upstairs)

Friends of Elwood RSL Anzac Day Commemoration Service

Location: Foreshore in front of Elwood Sailing Club

Time: 8.30 – 9.30 am

Port Melbourne Anzac Day Commemoration Service

Location: World War One memorial Beach Street, Port Melbourne

Date: Thursday 25 April 2024

Time: 10 – 11 am

Road closures: 8.00 am – 12.00 pm Beach Street Port Melbourne, from Bay Street through to Princes Street

VAJEX Australia Inc ANZAC Commemoration Service

Location: Glen Eira Town Hall Auditorium (Corner Glen Eira and Hawthorn Road, Caulfield)

Date: Sunday 28 April 2024

Time: 10.30 am

Shrine of Remembrance ANZAC Day Service

Location: Shrine of Remembrance

Date: Thursday 25 April 2024

Key timings:

  • 5.30 am: Dawn Service commences
  • 7 am: Shrine of Remembrance opens
  • 9 am: Anzac Day March commences
