2023/24 grant award winners St Kilda City Junior Football Club

We are excited to announce that applications are now open for this year’s Youth Access Grants Program. This program helps young people aged 12 to 18 in our community enjoy more free or affordable recreational activities.

Recreation activities can include:

  • sporting activities such as training, lessons, competitions, and organised group sports
  • creative expression including theatre, acting groups, and art lessons.
  • social activities including mindfulness, environmental activities, movie clubs, group coding, and gaming sessions.

Grant categories

The Youth Access Grants Program includes two types of grants - for individuals and organisations that offer youth activities.

Stream one: Get Involved grant

This category provides funding up to $500 for an individual young person to participate in recreational activities. The grant is intended for activities such as sporting lessons, creative workshops, and social programs. Applicants aged 12 to 17 will need parental consent, and it is the responsibility of the parent or carer to manage the funds and provide an acquittal report.

Stream two: Recreation Programs grant

The Recreation Programs grant provides up to $15,000 for organisations to create or enhance free or low-cost recreational programs for young people. This could include a range of activities such as team sports, arts and theatre, mindfulness, environmental projects, and more.
