One-stop guide to waste and recycling available for pickup

In 2019, we produced our first paper-based guide to waste and recycling. Since then, a lot has changed, so we have updated it recently to reflect the latest information.

Inside this handy booklet, you’ll find:

• Tips on avoiding waste in the first place – including information on share schemes like the Elwood Kitchen Library and repair organisations like the St Kilda Bike Kitchen and Port Phillip’s repair café.
• Reminders of what can and can’t go in all our kerbside bins – note that some items have changed since the last version.
• Tips on glass recycling – including information on our Communal hubs and the Victorian Contain Deposit Scheme.
• Instructions on how to book a free Hard and Green Waste collection.
• Information on our Resource Recovery Centre – where you can drop off many items, including e-waste.

It’s got a magnet fixed to the back so it can be conveniently kept on your fridge for quick access.
