Early Years Plan
"Creating a child friendly city''
The Early Years Plan (EYP) is defined as a local area plan designed to provide a strategic direction for the development and coordiantion of educational, care and health programs, activities and facilities for young children across a municipality.
The EYP enables councils to make more informed decisions, create more family-friendly communities and maximise resources by involving other local agencies/groups in a 'partnership' for developing and implementing the plan.
Update:
We have started discussions and consultation process for the development of the second Early Year Plan. It is anticipated this plan revised and updated will go out for public comment in September 2011.
Plan progress updates will be available on our website
